The Business Intelligence Brief covers both national and international news that have an impact on issues affecting businesses in the US. It covers economic, global business, and political issues. Each story consists of a brief paragraph covering the area of the concern and an analysis paragraph written by Chris Kuehl. With over 30 years of experience in global finance and economics he brings a solid perspective to the news.
Armada distributes business intelligence brief to over 15,000 Chamber of Commerce and Association members carrying titles of CEO, CFO, COO or manager who receive the briefing daily. The publication is free to members of organizations who subscribe to the business intelligence brief and the distribution list grows monthly as new chambers and associations are added to the distribution.
This publication is distributed through the endorsement of the professional organizations like and typically carries their logo. For instance, the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce has a co–branded version that is distributed by Armada via e–mail daily to Chamber members.

The purpose of the program is to allow business organizations to provide their members with daily business analysis. The Business Intelligence Brief is provided each morning via e–mail and carries the branding of the sponsor organization. The membership is aware that the publication is written by Armada but the publication is from the organization and carries its logo, contact information and other data.
The Organization will need to supply Armada with their logo and contact information along with their distribution list which Armada will not use for any other purpose but to deliver this publication. (The lists are password protected on the Armada server). Armada will assemble the content of the brief into the customized format and send it via the Armada server. There is no daily work for the organization.
The cost to have the customized Business Intelligence Brief delivered to your organization’s distribution list is only $500/month to be paid in advance.
The Business Intelligence Brief is published daily except for national holidays. It arrives by e–mail each morning between 7:00 and 8:00 Central time. Sponsoring organizations pay $500 per month to distribute the publication as their own. Armada provides a template that is modified to show the sponsor's logo, contact details and the like. It is clearly stated that the content is the responsibility of Armada but the impression is that the publication comes from the sponsoring group.
A six month contract is required to start the program and payment can be made in advance or month to month. After the trial period the contract can be extended by six months or by one year.
Armada can handle the distribution or that can be the responsibility of the sponsoring organization.
We tried a number of formats and discovered that most readers wanted the daily information. The wanted material that was current and getting something once a week or twice a month was not useful. They also indicated that daily e–mails made decision making easy. If they had time they read the day's message, if not they deleted it and knew they would have another to look at the next day.
For those that do not want the information – we make getting off the list very easy and automatic so that nobody need feel they are getting unwanted mail.
The Business Intelligence Brief is written by analysts and is not designed to compete with news organizations. It takes the major issues of the day and provides context and explanation so that readers can come to some conclusions and develop a response. It is opinionated but not controversial for its own sake. The primary authors are an economist and analyst who has worked and taught in 35 countries as well as a former chief financial officer with many years of experience as a strategist for Fortune 500 companies.
Editorial control remains with Armada and we take full responsibility for all that is contained in the publication (except for the ad content). The format of the publication is generally the same – seven articles. The page one articles are generally a little longer than the others and tend to focus on the larger economic issues – inflation, recession, government plans, dollar value and so on. The second page is a continuation of the page one article and there is usually an article that focuses on a key industry trend. Page three is the international page and it covers issues that have global implications. The page four story is always a little lighter and often covers personal issues like health and technology.
The intent is not be inflammatory or controversial in our analysis. The intent is to provoke debate and consideration and we encourage readers to respond back to us.
There are many ways that organizations have used the BIB to grow their membership. The most common use has been to use the publication to stay in daily contact with members. Our surveys have shown that this publication is often the most widely read of any provided by the organizations we work with. Each issue has space that can be used to promote anything the sponsoring group is interested in – meetings, networking opportunities, committees and many other activities.
The BIB can be provided to prospective members on a trial basis – maybe a few weeks. If they become accustomed to receiving it they may become more interested in membership to ensure they will continue to have access.
There are two spaces reserved for ads if you choose to use them. Some organizations simply use this space to promote their own programs. Others see these as opportunbities to find sponsors that are willing to pay to be in front of the organization's membership.
The cost of these ads is entirely up to the organization to decide, Armada takes no share of that ad revenue. The only restriction is that an organization is allowed to change the ad only once a week if Armada is responsible for the lay-out and distribution of the ad. If the organization chooses to handle their own lay-out and distribution they can change the ad as often as they like.
There are two options available. You can choose to have Armada distribute for you or you can receive the publication in a form that allows you to distribute it yourself.
If we distribute for you we use a secure server and a password system to protect your mailing list and we do not sell or use that list for any purpose whatsoever. We rely on you to update your membership list with new additions but we can remove people from the distribution list upon their request.
If you elect to handle your own distribution we will provide you with the publication each morning. You will be able to change ad content as often as you wish under this arrangement.
